Description

I did this just as a personal thing, so I could get a print made to have signed by Nicole Oliver when I go to Canterlot Gardens. Wish I had thought of to do something like this for Everfree with a Luna print, to get a signature from Tabitha St. Germain.

Spent 3 days working on this and several hours. Before mergers there was like 92 layers. It was a chance for me to revisit water and diffusion.

Thank you MLPDrawingSchool for your help and feedback, really helped me to bring this piece together. (Also thanks to my friends at SFS for giving me preliminary feedback.)

This one is formatted for wallpaper, 1080p. If you'd like to buy the full resolution as a print yourself, you can get it here: Redbubble

-Critiques appreciated-

edit: thanks for all the favs and feedback. I literally poured everything I had into this piece, so I couldn't be happier.

small update: Well, looks like Nicole had something come up, so sadly she won't be able to make it to CG. Ah well... If she happens to go to another con that I'm able to make it to, I'll just have to bring it with me then. =P

lakjhsgd love the mistiness of it!!! It's such a gentle flow of all those tints that's wonderul.

You used pink to shade the white which is great, so the pink in the tail/mane will connect to that and the blue and purple connect to the background, then there's those greens. All the colors connect so well to eachother, giving it an amazing sense of harmony, I see no chaos in this at all.

I don't watch MLP (But I do love art <3 ) so I don't get if there is a reference with the water, but the reason why i gave it a low originality is because the whole character floating in the water thing is seen everywhere, though of course there's a reason for that and that's because it turns out well so that isn't bad \(=u= )/

I don't know how you did it, but the underwater parts are distorted well, sicne they flow with the waves in the water you made.

Such peaceful ripples and colors.

And your rocks, I can see the cue with the loss of detail as it recedes back into space done on the left.
But at the same time we can also wee where the picture is less refines and there was a bit less care taken, due to the contrast between the solid colors in Celestia and the obvious brush stokes that clash in certain parts.

Hope this helped!

It's such a pretty picture
