My second critique yay! I'm trying my best so please bare with me and I will give you my insight to the best of my abilities:
Vision - I have nothing to say in regards to it's appealing nature, it's truly beautiful and inflicts different emotions within me. It sincerely touches my heart and it's sincerely empowering. Originality - You almost made it completely original, I remember a similar scene in Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles. It was on the first page when reading the manga, a very similar-like approach. This artwork still retains it's true beauty nonetheless. Technique - Amazingly depicted and beautiful. The only thing that bugs me in this artwork is the slight lack of detail in the background, it's very subtle but don't worry something like that can always be fixed. I admire the faded approach, but even a little more detailing or some sort of light source will strengthen this piece. Impact - It was extremely touching, it makes me appreciate the people that matter most in my life. It has touched my heart. So overall, I truly love this artwork
I hope this helps a little, I was just giving you my input If you need anything or want to ask me something further please let me know
Ohh, where to start? I simply love this piece. Perhaps it isn't coincidence that I heard the song that inspired this piece for the first time today. Vision gets a solid 5, because you have created art that is exactly parallel to the music that inspired it.
Originality takes a wee bump to 4.5 because the "two sides" concept has been done time and time again, but it's only a minor bump because it makes so much sense for this piece....Which leads me to technique.
Technique scores a solid five. I particularly like that you purposefully left the backgrounds blurry (while still showing the viewer that celestia and luna are in the ruined castle and on the moon, respectively), as this draws the focus to the princesses themselves, who are incredibly detailed.
Now for impact. Impact scores a perfect five, and this is why: Their eyes. For some reason, their eyes really stuck out to me. Celestia crying with sadness (duh), but also with regret for what she had to do, while luna cries tears (also of sadness) but with only a small bit of regret and more anger. The eyes really set the mood for both mares, and for the piece in general, especially given the inspiration. Bravo, good sir. Bravo.
really awesome art! there's so many thing to love about it, the shading, the way you colored their manes, the contrasting light/dark of the environments... overall very nice work~
This absolutely beautiful, your work always amazes me. It truly does, you are so accurate with your interpretation of digital mediums. You exude such power and vibrancy in your works of artyou are always and truly astounding which is why I still admire you as an artist
