I hope to god I piss some people off/step on some toes with this rant.

I'm certain a lot of this rant will apply to the internet as a whole, but I'm speaking in specific about the pony fandom, because that's where a lot of these examples have taken place.

This fandom needs to stop objectifying women, and treating 'rape' as a fetish. This is a masculine issue, and this is a feminist issue. But most importantly, it is a human issue, and it needs to be addressed.

Some key notes: This is not typecasting the majority. These are indeed a 'shoutlier' representation: a smaller portion of the fandom that is so obnoxious or vulgar that they're taken as the majority.
But let me be clear: if we let them maintain the spotlight, our labeling will change-- and not just in the fandom, as the concept of a 'male' as a whole. The way this is countered is by being the good examples that they are not.
